Konligo The Tent Backdrops

The Backdrop is a back wall accessory for The Tent, adding an enclosed rear panel to the structure. It gives the tent a more finished, professional appearance from behind and helps close off the back of the space for use cases where full enclosure or a defined backdrop for photos, signage, or staging matters.

This is the Backdrop only. The Tent structure and membrane are sold separately, available here.

Key Features

  • Encloses the rear of The Tent structure
  • Creates a clean, defined backdrop for photos, signage, or branding
  • Available in Black, White, Colored, or Printed with your custom branding
  • Compatible exclusively with the Konligo The Tent structure

Important Note: Wind and Load Impact

Fitting the Backdrop changes both the required ballast weight and the maximum load capacity of the structure, since it increases the surface area exposed to wind:

  • At 0 km/h, maximum load stays the same as the structure alone: 160kg total (20kg per point)
  • At 30 km/h, maximum load drops to 110kg total (13kg per point), compared to 130kg without the Backdrop
  • At 45 km/h, maximum load drops to 30kg total (4kg per point), compared to 65kg without the Backdrop
  • At 65 km/h, maximum load is 50kg total (6kg per point), compared to 80kg without the Backdrop, and requires guying lines plus 620kg of ballast (or 250kg ballast with guying lines)
  • The Backdrop configuration is not rated above 65 km/h

Above 45 km/h, guying lines are required in addition to foot ballast. Above 80kg of total load or 10kg per point, a minimum ballast weight of 150kg must also be added.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Backdrop reduce the tent's load capacity compared to the structure alone?
At 0 km/h wind, capacity is unchanged at 160kg total. But as wind speed rises, the gap widens: at 30 km/h, capacity drops to 110kg with the Backdrop versus 130kg without it; at 45 km/h, it drops to just 30kg versus 65kg without it. Plan your hung loads around the wind conditions you actually expect on site, not just the calm-weather figure.
Can I use the Backdrop in high wind conditions?
Only up to 65 km/h, and even then it requires both guying lines and 620kg of ballast (or 250kg of ballast combined with guying lines). Above 65 km/h, the Backdrop configuration isn't rated at all, unlike the structure without the Backdrop, which is rated up to 75 km/h.
Does adding the Backdrop mean I need more ballast weight even in calm conditions?
No. At 0 km/h, no ballast is required with or without the Backdrop. Ballast requirements only kick in as wind speed increases, and the Backdrop's larger surface area means it reaches those ballast thresholds sooner than the structure alone.
Is the Backdrop the same as the Front Banner accessory?
No. The Backdrop encloses the rear of the structure, while the Front Banner is a separate accessory positioned at the front for brand visibility. They serve different purposes, affect the structure's wind rating differently, and are sold as separate products.
