CM Prostar 500 lb Electric Chain Hoist

The CM Prostar is a compact 500 lb (1/4 ton) electric chain hoist built for smaller venues, theaters, corporate events and touring productions. It lifts at 16 ft/min with a 1/6 HP thermally protected motor on a single fall of 4 mm Hoistaloy® load chain, and the hoist itself weighs just 28 lb (12.7 kg) without chain.

Every hoist ships as a complete package: zinc-plated load chain for your selected lift (60, 80, 90 or 100 ft), the matching Prostar chain bag (MPDHPS 13 for 60 ft, MPDHPS 18 for 80 to 100 ft), the MPDHPS chain bag bracket and your choice of power/control connector, with forged steel upper and lower hooks with latch.

What is the difference between the CM Prostar 500 lb and a CM Lodestar?
The CM Prostar is built for smaller venues where size and weight matter: 500 lb capacity, a 1/6 HP motor, 4 mm load chain and a hoist weight of just 28 lb without chain. Our CM Lodestar models start at 1/2 ton (1,000 lb) and weigh around 64 to 70 lb.
What is included with the CM Prostar 500 lb?
Each hoist ships with zinc-plated load chain for your selected lift (60, 80, 90 or 100 ft), the matching Prostar chain bag (MPDHPS 13 for 60 ft, MPDHPS 18 for 80 to 100 ft), the MPDHPS chain bag bracket, forged steel hooks with latch and your chosen connector.
Which connector should I choose for the CM Prostar 500 lb?
Choose the connector that matches your power and control system: Dual Twist (L16-20 and L14-20), C7 PS or P14 PS. The w/ 14-20 versions add an L14-20 auxiliary individual control. Choose No Connectors if you will fit your own. The hoist runs on 230V three-phase power.
What hook options are available for the CM Prostar 500 lb?
The CM Prostar comes with forged steel upper and lower hooks with latch. CM Latchlok hooks are available on request and stay locked until the operator presses the release button, even if the load chain goes slack. Handles are not offered on the Prostar.
What duty rating does the CM Prostar 500 lb have?
The CM Prostar 500 lb carries an H-4 duty rating (FEM 2m) for professional entertainment use. It is UL and cUL listed and is built to the applicable sections of the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70). Always check local codes before installing the hoist.
